Jacare Elestial AmethystThe Jacare Quartz is an elestial amethyst, mined mostly in Brazil. Some is also found in Canada, often with hematite coating the outside of the etchings. Jacares are somewhat rare and hard to find. These are Jacare Elestial Amethysts from Manin's collection.
The word, Jacare, means Alligator in Portuguese. In the picture below, look at the etchings that look like triangles on the sides of the crystals. Notice the similarity between the geometric patterns on the surface of these crystals in relation to the natural designs on the skin of the reptile.
The Jacare Elestial Amethyst also has the metaphysical qualities of amethyst. Amethyst is a stone of the mind. Helps with sobriety; alcohol, food, sex, and other addictions. See page on Amethysts for more info.
Elestial Quartz is a broader term that encompasses/ or is also known as Alligator Quartz, Skeletal Quartz, and Jacare Quartz. Elestials come in many different families, shapes and colors. Some have moving water bubbles inside them, called Enhydro Crystals. Elestials can be Smoky, White, Clear, Citrine, Amethyst and Ametrine. Below left: Smokey Quartz Elestial from Manin's collection. Below right, Fenster Elestial Quartz from Manin's collection.
Skeletal Quartz, refers to the unusual etchings and internal cavities of Elestials. Elestials look different than other crystals. There are many small crystals growing together.
